Irish Arts of Middle Tennessee is a non-profit educational organization founded for the purpose of developing and promoting an appreciation of Irish culture, arts, history & heritage  in Middle Tennessee & surrounding areas.

Rince - Dance

One of IAMT’s many goals is to promote & support Irish Dance in the Middle Tennessee area including but not limited to step, set, céilí, & country set.  IAMT promotes & supports Irish dance & dancers through our associations with the area Irish Dance teachers, schools & their affiliates  the North American Feis Commission , Irish Dancing Teachers Association of North America and An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha (Irish Dance Commission in Dublin, Ireland). IAMT hosts the annual Nashville Music City Feis in early February each year. Irish dancers from across North America compete at the NMC Feis. The feis also includes competitions in Irish music, baking and arts & crafts. Each year a portion of designated entry fees are donated to local organizations such as St Patrick’s Catholic Church and Nashville’s Second Harvest Foodbank.

Ceol – Music

IAMT promotes & supports traditional Irish music through an association with the Frankie Kennedy Branch of the CCÉ South.  IAMT will also promote & support contemporary/progressive Irish music. Keeping Mid-Tennessee folks aware of Irish music performances in West, Middle & West Tennessee
as well as surrounding states is another aim of IAMT.

Cultúr– Culture

IAMT plans to promote & support Irish culture & arts through a number of activities such as:
travel to Ireland , genealogy workshops, sports , Gaelige classes, Irish film and drama festivals,
arts, crafts & cooking classes, storytelling & folklore events & workshops

Craic - Fun
Craic is Irish for fun, good times, great company. What is more fun than a parade? IAMT was instrumental in organizing Nashville’s first St Patrick’s Day Parade in 2002 and is committed to working with the Parade committee in years to come.
